Meet Our Front Desk Volunteers
Grant Kerr
Front Desk Volunteer
Grant Kerr (he/him/his) is a 20+ year resident of Concord CA. Having migrated from his hometown of Bloomington, IN. Where he volunteered regularly for many grassroots community-based endeavors.
Grant faithfully served a three-year term as the Director of the Bloomington GLBT Switchboard. A volunteer-based evening/weekend listening line service for the GLBTQ+ communities of South-Central Indiana. Grant also worked with IU’s Office of GLBT Student Support to establish continuing services to IU and the surrounding community.
Presently he works as a dispatcher for a local IT group while also employed as a part-time door person for Club 1220 in Walnut Creek. He appreciates that both 1220 and RCC share the continuity toward building our collective lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer + intersex people community.
Naomi Salvador
Front Desk Volunteer
Naomi Salvador (she/her) is a queer Filipina-American born and raised in the Bay Area, growing up in Hayward and Dublin before moving to Concord. She first engaged in community service supporting her late mother's third-grade classroom in Fremont, organizing extra supplies and books for Books for the Barrios, a non-profit that sent supplies to rural schools in the Philippines. She went on to become an active member of Interact in high school, managed a student org while at UC San Diego, and supports both a community service and LGBTQIA+ employee network at her last job.
When not volunteering for Rainbow or working in transportation engineering, she enjoys practicing languages (including Tagalog, Spanish, and a tiny bit of Japanese), cooking, playing drums, and needing out over cars and auto racing.
Sam Ciaramitaro
Front Desk Volunteer
Sam (he/him) was born and raised in Concord and takes pride in being part of a community he loves—the people, the culture, the cuisine, and the thriving network of local nonprofits and community activists. With a long history of nonprofit involvement, Sam is passionate about turning words into action and helping others find meaningful and hands-on ways to serve.
He’s especially driven to support communities facing economic challenges and those marginalized due to sexual orientation or gender identity. As part of the front desk team, Sam is grateful to support Rainbow’s mission and stay connected to a diverse network of heartfelt, service-driven people who inspire his commitment to hands-on community work. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, tabletop gaming, and making music.
