Since 1995, Rainbow Community Center has offered support & social opportunities to the LGBTQI+ community & its allies.

Community Mental Health Services

We provides outpatient mental health services, specifically serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & questioning LGBTQ+ communities.

Houseless Transitional Youth Program

LGBTQI+ youth ages 12 - 24 years old experiencing houselessness, have been victims of violence, & are in crisis.

Youth Programs

Supporting a positive self-identity for all LGBTQI+ youth & young adults ages 11-25.

 

Addressing internalized homophobia, promoting resilience, & helping youth decide when & how to more safely & bravely disclose their gender identities & sexual orientation through:

HIV Education & Prevention Programs

Consists of various types of outreach including:

  • social media promotion

  • HIV+ support groups

  • social groups

  • special events that have a focus on male identified people of color & Spanish speaking communities in Contra Costa County.

Older Adult Programs

Provides a safe space for LGBTQI+ older adults to gather, socialize, & create a supportive community. Our seniors are more likely than their straight & cisgender peers to be isolated. We aim to increase support, help address internalized homophobia & shame, & ensure access to a supportive network of peers.
