Youth Activities

1. Youth Drop-In Times

Every Thursday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the center
Every Saturday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the center

2. Youth Events

  • Planning for youth dances every four months
  • Youth field trips (e.g., the Castro District of San Francisco, museums, movies and various RCC events)
  • Community, city and and state activism

4. Special Presentations

Is your GSA looking for things to do? Would you like to learn about LGBTIQ history, culture or politics? Set up a fun, interactive presentation at the center about one of the following topics:

  • Sexual Orientation - What does it mean to be gay, straight or bisexual?
  • Picture Perfect - Using photography as political activism
  • S.C.U.M. - A look at the tobacco industry's targeting of the LGBTIQ community
  • Stonewall - Do you know how Judy Garland ignited a revolution?
  • Queering Disney - Looking at the queer theory as it relates to Disney movies (From gay and drag queen villains to the promotion of heterosexuality and how that is changing in today's Disney cartoons)
If you have other topics you'd like to do a presentaqtion on, drop by or call the center, and we'll work something out.
