Women Out and About (WOAA) is the women's social group for single and partnered women of the Rainbow Community Center. It is a friendly group of women who love to have fun in and around the San Francisco East Bay area. They are always looking for new activities, events and other women willing to organize, plan or host the rest of us. The event organizers and calendar maintainers are Brenda Butler and Lynn Chaney.

The WOAA Calendar

Events and other calendar activities are figured out through the Women's Discussion Group meetings every Wednesday night at the center from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The meetings provide opportunities to become acquainted with other women and discuss issues related to a lesbian or bisexual lifestyle as well. A homemade dish and non-alcoholic drinks to share are always welcome. After some ample time given to chatting it up and eating, the group quickly discusses the next month's calendar. Then, a lesbian flick on the DVD with popcorn tops the evening off. Sometimes, the group heads off to Club 1220 in Walnut Creek.
