RCC maintains two internship training programs:
* An MSW/Case Management training program
* A Mental Health training program
All interns receive extensive training in theories of LGBTQ identity development and community mental health.
MSW/Case Management Program Interns
MSW / Case Management Interns help RCC participants look for affordable housing or food assistance. They can also help people look for a job and practice interviewing skills, and they help LGBTQ people navigate other county support systems. They advocate for improved services from the RCC and from other local agencies. Interns also provide home visits and support to people who have difficulty leaving their homes due to disability or illness.

HOW TO APPLY
MSW / Case Management Internship Training Program: The RCC has openings for both summer and fall/spring internships. Students receive training in principles of generalist social work and special trainings focused on the needs of LGBTQ client populations. Students are expected to work in our Kind Hearts program that serves people with HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ seniors. Each student is required to carry a caseload and work with clients. Opportunities also exist for students to work on community organizing and community mental health projects. To apply for an MSW/Case Management internship at the Rainbow Center submit a resume with a short cover letter telling us about yourself and your professional goals. Email to: wade@rainbowcc.org
Mental Health Training Program: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We prefer a one year commitment. Submit a cover letter and resume to rebecca@rainbowcc.org
Licensed Mental Health Providers who are interested in volunteering to provide clinical supervision should contact Aviva Zuckrow: aviva@rainbowcc.org
