The RCC is currently recruiting for the following volunteer positions:

• Board of Directors –There are currently four open positions for RCC board members. Women and People of Color are especially encouraged to apply for these positions. For more information contact Raul at raul@rainbowcc.org.
• Volunteer Coordinator –The RCC is looking for a dynamic individual who could serve as our volunteer – volunteer coordinator. This person would  recruit and train volunteers to work in all of the RCC's programs. This person would also organize annual volunteer appreciation activities and help maintain volunteer applications and contact information for all active RCC volunteers. • Assistant Librarian – The library is one of RCC's hidden treasures. Steve Spencer has faithfully developed and maintained our ever expanding and valuable library of GLBTIQ literature.  And, he needs help.  Duties include cataloging all volumes on the web so people may research titles from home.  Receiving and processing donated collections and developing the check-out system so individuals can access materials for an extended time.  For more information contact Raul at raul@rainbowcc.org.
• Senior Program Volunteer – Volunteers are needed to pick up food from local stores for our monthly luncheons and teas. Volunteers are also needed to attend afternoon senior functions and help clean up after.   For more information contact Raul at raul@rainbowcc.org.
• Office Staff – We need volunteers who faithfully devote fixed hours to the myriad administrative tasks connected with the management of a busy and successful office. For more information contact Raul at raul@rainbowcc.org.
• Food Bank Volunteers – Volunteers are needed to make home deliveries to people living with HIV/AIDS and to LGBT seniors living in Central Contra Costa County. Volunteers are also needed to pick up donated food from local grocery stores and retailers. Food bank volunteers work on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. • Youth Program Volunteers - Volunteers are needed to work with members of the RCC's Youth Program to organize community dances and act as chaperones at these events (note: all RCC volunteers who work with youth must complete a background security check with local law enforcement). • Special Projects - Volunteers are needed to help organize special events that raise funds needed to maintain RCC's programs and services.
