The RCC is a volunteer driven community based organization. Volunteers keep the center in operation. Volunteers can function in a variety of important capacities within our organization, including:

• Board of Directors –volunteers serve a two year term and agree to raise the funds needed to keep the RCC functioning, board members are also asked to make a personal financial commitment to the RCC.  Additionally, board members develop the mission and vision for the organization, oversee the financial management of the center and evaluate RCC's programs and staff.
• Board of Advisors –volunteers, many have served previously as Directors of the organization. Advisors bring prized skills to the RCC, e.g., grant writing, public relations, program consultations, and fund raising. 
• Committee Chairs and Members – volunteers who spend many hours putting the agency's fundraisers and services into place. These "in-the-trenches" working groups are comprised of members of the RCC's board who work in partnerships with dedicated volunteers and staff. Committees are involved with every program at the RCC and are responsible for our overall organizational success (click here for a list of RCC's committees).
• Group Facilitators –volunteers with special skills who manage and direct the many groups meeting at the RAINBOW.  Facilitators lead group members in discussions of the life issues faced daily by the LGBTQ community and our allies. Facilitators  create opportunities for individuals to explore and grow in a safe space.
• Office Staff –volunteers who faithfully devote fixed hours to the myriad administrative tasks connected with the running of a busy and successful RCC.  
• Special Projects –Volunteers who can honor our call for a few hours to stuff envelopes, set-up projects, support an event, etc.  This is mostly a need for volunteers with daytime available hours. This vital group saves the RCC many dollars each year helping get out bulk mailings, doing data entry, and other essential organizational tasks.
