Board Meetings

The Rainbow Community Center's Board of Directors meets on the third Wednesday of each month.  Meetings are held at the center at 7pm.

Members of the Center's Board of Directors actively participate in the operation and management of the center and fundraising efforts.  All positions are voluntary.  Qualified candidates should mail a letter of interest and a current resume to:  Mark King, Board Nominating Committee, Rainbow Community Center, 3024 Willow Pass Rd., Ste 200, Concord CA   94519.  The nominations process consists of submittal of candidate's application, review of the application by the Nominating Committee, recommendation by the committee to the Board of Directors for interview, applicant interview with the Nominating Committee, and committee recommendation to the Board. The Board of Directors then votes on the applicant.

The Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County provides a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for lesbians, gay men, and bisexuals of all ages, socio-economic status, races, cultures, and religions.  The Center's services and activities promote the mental, physical well-being of its community by providing peer group support, referral services, social opportunities, and educational programs of interest to its internal community as well as to the community at large.
